Genious Communications, based in Technopark Casablanca and Marrakesh,
has launched its new web site for the purchase of domain names and
professional hosting, in Arabic, French and English, with the possibility
of ordering in multi currency (dirham, euro or dollars).
Genious consolidates its position in the market of domain names and
hosting. Indeed, the company, based in Technopark Casablanca since 2008,
has just published the new version of its ecommerce website for domain
names and hosting solutions.
This new multilingual version (Arabic, English and french) allows Internet
users around the world to order and purchase our products online whether
it is in dirhams, dollars or in euros, reveals Hamza Aboulfeth, the CEO
of Genious Communications.
The challenge of internationalization derived from the nature of business.
Genious is positioned on three business segments: domain names and hosting,
graphic design and web design. Markets that are targeted by this new
version of e-commerce are: Morocco, Spain, France and the Middle East.
With our platform Canix data center based in Canada and our partnership
with the American eNom, we host for our customers and partners over 4,000
websites and domain names yet. The total data hosted on our servers exceeds
20 teras / (1 * terabyte* (TB) = 1 024 GB), says the young CEO of Genious
Communications.
The market of domain names and hosting in Morocco is booming. According
to the regulatory authority ANRT (Agence Nationale de Réglementation
des Télécoms), the number of domain names under the .ma,
exceeded the threshold of 30,000 records. This figure, in a sharp increase
does not include the domain names registered under other international
extensions (.com, .net, .org...).
The dynamics of the Moroccan market stems from the exponential growth
of Internet and computer equipment. "Morocco now has over 800,000
internet subscribers, 8 million users and registers the sale of more
than 120,000 computers per year," reminds Aboulfeth.
The democratization of the prices of domain names is another explanatory
factor for this growth. Nowadays, to buy a domain name in Morocco under
the ". Ma", the customer pays annually 250 DH ex VAT, against
120 DH ex VAT for an extension .com, .net or .org.
Moreover, to benefit from this growth, Genious Communications, which
already has a headquarter in Marrakesh and a branch in Casablanca Technopark,
plans to open another agency at the center of Casablanca to get closer
with its customers both individuals and companies. For its launching
of the new web site, the company offers to its customers a new domain
name and hosting of 20 MB at a symbolic cost of one dirham per day. As
for resellers, the company has planned a reduction of up to 25% on its
public rates of all extensions of domain names.
Finally, on the technological plan, Genious is now offering Virtual
Servers using FluidVM for virtual management of the company K7Computing,
based on Xen and OpenVZ.
